tenesmus: A symptom of colon cancer, tenesmus is a feeling of incomplete defecation.
TNM system: The most common staging system for colon cancer. The TNM system assigns a number for the degree of invasion of the intestinal wall (T), the degree of involvement of the lymphatic node (N) and the degree of metastasis (M).
urostomy: A stoma (artificial opening) for the urinary system.
virtual colonoscopy: Virtual colonoscopy (VC) uses X-rays and computers to produce two- and three-dimensional images of the colon (large intestine) from the lowest part, the rectum, all the way to the lower end of the small intestine.
